Just In: While fulfilling his commitment, the Brazilian Head Coach Tite has stepped down from the role after his side lost to Croatia in the Quarter-Finals on Friday Night. Notably, Tite took this charge in 2016, leading his team to win the Copa America 2019, but eliminated for the last eight in the previous two FIFA editions.
However, it’s not a resignation from Tite; rather, his contract tenure with Brazil is almost up, and he has no interest in renewing it. “It is difficult. The cycle ended, and I said that one and a half years ago. I wished to have the full cycle, and now I have the full cycle and have followed the moments”, said Tite.
It is pertinent to mention that the Five-time FIFA Champions faced hardcore Croatia in the first quarter-finals of the 2022 FIFA World on Friday at Education City Stadium. After ending with a 1-1 score, the match dramatically ends on 4-2 shootouts, with Croatia having the most with its name.
The Croatian side maintained their composure till the very last minute of the game, while Brazil’s Rodrygo and Marquinhos failed to net the balls, favoring Croatia with 4-0 penalty scores. Notably, it is the second consecutive entry of Croatia in the Finals since they also progressed in the 2018 World Cup.
