Just In: BYU has registered its highest margin of victory of the season against Westminster by 100-70 on Tuesday Night in Salt Lake City at Vivint Arena. The historic win also serves as the 150th Carrer triumph for BYU’s coach Mark Pope.
On such a special occasion, the head coach of BYU Cougars, Mark Pope, said, “It’s Super Fun to come and play with the club. For the guys to put together a pretty solid performance, I’m super pleased with the overall performance of my squad.”
“I still think there were times when we were a little irresponsible. I was pleased with our players’ strategy for the majority of the game because they remained committed to producing plays for one another. They were all extremely successful. I was happy about that, and I think it speaks highly for our guys,” the coach concluded.
It is pertinent to mention that the Cougars remained composed from the very first moment of the game, showcasing their collectively best performances of the season, forcing Westminster to leave the contest without earning a single win. Meanwhile, it is BYU’s second victory outside the Marriott Center and 4th consecutive in Vivint Arena under the supervision of Pope.
