Just In: According to sources, Pakistan team management is mulling including experienced pacer Mohammad Abbas in the possible line-up for the second Test match as a substitute for injured Haris Rauf.
Harris Rauf, who debuted in Red-Ball Cricket at his home ground Rawalpindi, didn’t experienced the best of starts as he was ruled out on play’s first day after suffering a quad strain while stopping the ball from reaching the boundary.
It is pertinent to mention that Rauf has bowled only 13 overs in the first innings, after which he got injured and was taken off-field. Following injury, Rauf didn’t even show up for batting during the first innings but eventually came out to bat on the final day; however, dismissed without scoring any runs.
The spearhead bowler was later sent for Medical assessment by Board Doctors. After an MRI and scans, it was found that Rauf had a grade-II strain in his right quad and subsequently missed out on the remainder of the tests against England.
Now, Pakistan Cricket Management is looking for the best replacement for Haris Rauf, and Mohammad Abbas’s name is on the top, as the 32-year-old has impressed everyone with his extra-ordinary bowling skills during the recently-concluded Quaid-e-Azam trophy.
