Georgia Football Player “Devin Willock” dies in a Car Accident

Just In: Sad News for all Football Fans as Georgia Football player Devin Willock and a recruiting team member were killed in a Car Accident in Athens early Sunday Morning, confirmed by the University in a Statement.

Willock, a redshirt sophomore from New Milford, New Jersey, played on the offensive line in two games last year. Along with him, the other deceased person was identified as the recruiting staff member Chandler LeCroy.

“The entire Georgia Family is shocked by the Tragic Loss of Football Student-athlete Devin Willock and Football Staff member Chandler LeCroy. Two other members of the Football Program were also injured in the accident, and they are in stable condition,” says the University Statement.

“Devin and Chandler were two best people who meant so much to the University of Georgia, our National Football Program, and our Athletic department. We request everyone to keep their families remember in your prayers during this difficult time.”

“We are all heartbroken and devastated by the loss of Devin Willock and Candler LeCroy. He was an outstanding Athlete. He was always smiling, was a great teammate, and was a joy coach. Chandler was a valuable asset to our Football Staff. We grieve with their families and will support them in every way possible,” says Bulldogs Coach Kirby Smart.

It is pertinent to mention that Willock has played all 15 games for the Bulldogs this past season. He was ranked the No.39 Guard prospect in the Country and No.17 prospect in New Jersey. Meanwhile, LeCroy was a Recruiting Analyst at Georgia since May 2021.
