Just In: Lorenzo Fluxa deals with Prema for his third year in Formula Regional European Championship. The 18-year-old started his FRegional Career at the beginning of 2021in the Asian Champions with BlackArts Racing.
“I’m excited to join Prema for FREC next year. The team has really impressive speed last year and I’m looking forward to maintaining strong form. I’m confident it’s the right step to keep progressing. I can’t wait for the new season to get going and start racing,” said Fluxa.
In first year, Fluxa placed 14th in the points standings and stood fourth in the Asian Championship. Later, he switched teams and joined Van Amersfoort, where he competed in a much tougher championship. Fluxa never concluded higher than 12th and finished the season in 25th place overall.
On this occasion, the Perma’s team principal Rene Rosin said, “We look forward to working with Lorenzo in 2023. He will bring the best experience to the team. He also has great potential, which we hope to enhance further.”
Currently, the older brother of Mercedes-AMG Formula 1 junior Luna Fluxa has decided to switch to R-ace GP, displaying improved performance with a podium in FRAC and another podium on his return to FREC. However, he came 10th and 12th, respectively, in two series.
