Pakistan Team Squad For T20 World Cup 2021 – (Officially Confirmed)

Former T20 champions Pakistan have announced their 16-Man team squad for the T20 World Cup 2021 starting from 17th October, 2021 at UAE/Oman. Babar Azam stays as “Captain of Men in Green” and Mohammad Rizwan has been given the responsibility of being Vice-Captain by selectors from PCB.

Pakistan who won the T20 World Cup in England & Wales under the captaincy of Younis Khan is now quite confident under the leadership of Babar Azam. Skipper of Pakistani team Babar Azam has played impressive and leading cricket during the last two years.

He has improved his average in ODI and T20 cricket beating top notch batsmen Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Kane Williamson and many.

On the other side, wicket keeper and vice-captain Mohammad Rizwan has shown impressive and match winning performances in last 15 months. Playing against England, West Indies & Zimbabwe and posting milestones on board are one his those series that turned up his career.

Pakistan’ Batting Lineup

The batting lineup of Pakistani cricket team has always struggled internationally on every format, but recently the current team squad played responsible innings and improved as well. That’s why their batting lineup is much diverse and justified. Currently Pakistan acquires top position in the international T20 team rankings of ICC.

Babar Azam, skipper and middle order T20 batsman is currently in form and has been quite productive for his team even during the recent tours against England and West Indies. Another best and polished name is Mohammad Rizwan who holds the record of scoring most runs in PSL along with record of scoring of most T20 runs in a year.

Mohammad Hafeez and Haris Sohail, these two players have been also added into the finalized team squad and now the batting lineup is more powerful and superior especially at UAE. Fakhar Zaman and Haider Ali have been also provided with a chance to play another T20 World Cup and this time both of them are heavy form.

Keeping the bowling lineup balanced, the selectors of PCB have added All-Rounders Shadab Khan and Imad Wasim. Both of these players have capability of play death overs without coming under pressure even in a state of chasing target.

Pakistan’s Bowling Lineup

This team always won most of the matches on the behalf of their established bowling lineup, but in their batting lineup has also improved as well. The UAE pitches mostly are bouncy and flat with respect to turn over the ball.

Shaheen Afridi and Hassan Ali, these two fast bowlers are frontline of Pak bowling lineup as they have performed against giants with great consistency. Keeping the pitch conditions of UAE, constantly in form bowlers, the selectors have added Haris Rauf and Mohammad Hasnain to strengthen the bowling lineup.

While the spin bowlers are also part of the official team squad for the T20 World Cup 2021 to acquire a balanced bowling strength. Shadab Khan and Imad Wasim, both of these spin bowlers will be utilized when spin bowling would be required.

After impressive and winning performances in PSL and KPL, Khushdil Shah has also been added in the team squad. Khushdil Shah will be making will play T20 World Cup 2021 for the first time.
